Baseball and softball club Arrows Ostrava and Colours of Ostrava have agreed to work together during the ongoing major events, namely European Junior Championship in baseball and festival Colours of Ostrava.

From 13th until 19th July 2015 European Junior Championships in baseball will be held at the Ostrava Arrows Park. At the same time will also take place an international multi-genre music festival starting 16th till 19th July 2015 in the Lower Vítkovice (Dolni oblast) in Ostrava. Among the major performers you will see Bjὄrk, an Icelandic singer. Furthermore will appear musical personalities such as The Toxic Avenger DJ or Mika. As representatives of our country will perform the band called Zrni featuring Janáček Philharmonic Orchestra and many others.

The festival will be held in the Lower Vítkovice, which is a unique place in Europe, boasting its history. Since September 26, 2014 in the Lower Vítkovice modern science center of World techniques has started to operate. It contains four still stand - Children's World, World Civilization, World science and discoveries and Natural World. You will find also a number of classrooms, laboratories, workshops, a 3D cinema and theater science.

For all participants of European Junior Championship are ready a day tickets. So you can meet a lot of athletes dressed in their national colors on this festival. The tournament will be attended by teams of Italy, Great Britain, Holland, Spain, Germany, Croatia, Russia, Sweden, France and the Czech Republic.

This is the most important European event in baseball this year. We will see the best youth baseball in Europe, which will be monitored not only by the spectators but also by accredited Scouts of MLB. Maybe, on this championship they find some players like Alex Lidi, an Italian who plays for Seattle Mariners now, or Donald Lutz, a German who plays in Cincinnati Reds organization and maybe, we might see some Czech player in MLB soon.

Games, at the Arrows Park on the street Prubezna, begin daily always from 11:00, 15:00, 17:00, and then the evening match starts at 19:00. At this evening time you have a chance to watch the Czech national team games mainly.

For visitors we have prepared refreshments, children's attractions and the accompanying commentary during matches.
